so...its been a while- between beach project -two computer crashes -pregnancy and just life i have not taken the time to update and the problem is that because this is my virtual scrapbook i want to do several posts with all of our updates/fun things since April!!! (that is a little overwhelming) so in case you did not know we are expecting #3 and it is another boy!!! so...now that i have told you this hopefully i will get on it soon!!

Coupons!!!

So for all of you that know me- you know I absolutely LOVE a good deal!! Well.... I have started joining this coupon craze and I am clipping coupons and only buying what is on sale at the store. I am pretty much only shopping at Publix (which I absolutely Love) and have recently added CVS to my coupon adventure!! So....I have to tell you about all that I got at CVS today for $22.00- Are you ready?

5- 12 pack cans of Diet Coke
1- 8 pack roll of Scott paper towels
1- package of Dunkin Donuts Coffee (French Vanilla- My favorite!!)
1- jar of Peanut Butter (it was not my favorite skippy natural, but it was skippy and it was only $1 with my coupon, so we can eat it!!)
4 -tubes of Colgate toothpaste (2 for me and seth and 2 for the boys)!!!!!
1- 32 oz thing of detergent (some random brand, but it will work)

I was so excited and had to share- i bought what was on sale and then had a coupon for that stuff and used some reward bucks I had!!

Then I went to publix and spent $78 and saved $75!!!!! We have enough cereal and graham crackers to last for the next few months!!!

I am using a website called southernsavers.com and she does all the work and tells you what is on sale and where to find the coupons (you have to buy the sunday paper) I have only been doing if for about 6 weeks, but I can tell that I am saving money and it is a fun adventure- Now I don't want to buy anything without a coupon!!!!! So...check it out and start your own adventure!!!

well- as you all know caleb makes life fun and exciting. last night he woke up and joined the party with everyone and then while I was getting ready to go to bed i noticed he did not follow, but he was so tired that i just figured he was laying on the couch because that is what he told me he wanted to do. i was wrong- i walked into the kitchen and i found him with his hand in the sugar jar that i have by the coffee maker eating sugar!!!!! i should know better by now to always worry that he is getting into something. the picture does not do it justice- but his nose does look a little blurry...that is sugar!!! then he wanted to change clothes and he wants to pick out all his own clothes and put them on - so he picked out a shirt and put it on upside down and backwards and he is so stubborn and i get so tired of fighting him on everything that i let him sleep it in just like that!!! The Lord knew I needed some entertainment in life!!!!

one of our staff guys- matt- proposed last night to bethany. We got to be part of the whole thing- which I loved!! we all went to dinner to do some of our "pre-engagement" counseling and then seth wanted to them to go and spend some time praying together (which was when he was going to pop the question!) so we dropped them off and they went to this cute little chapel on campus and he did his whole romantic, sweet thing (He did good!) and then we had a suprise party at our house afterwards so she could show the ring off and do a lot of screaming!! It was fun and we are so excited about their marriage!!

Well I had great plans to post our last weekend fun last week...but ya know- it never happened- so last weekend....seth went out of town so I got to hang out with my two bff's all weekend!! on saturday we went to the zoo on saturday because it was such a beautiful day- unfortunately everyone else in atlanta had the same idea- but we made it through and had lots of fun!!!

We also got to hang out with the phi mu's a lot last weekend we went to their philanthropy event and then on Sunday we went to Family Day!!! It was fun meeting all the girl's parents and the boys enjoyed all the attention- as always!!!

EASTER WEEKEND!!!!

Friday afternoon we went to the Braves opening day- we had about 50 students that went and all tail-gated before and then went to the game- the boys LOVED it!!

Two of the sweet Phi Mu's- rachel and alexa- both are in my Bible study and going to Beach Project!!!!!

I did not take my camera in because of the rain- luckily it paid off to be in the cheap seats because we were covered because we were so high up- the boys eyes were so big from trying to take it all in and then it started to rain and hail and the wind was blowing like crazy- I figured we were okay cause surely someone was watching the radar and all the security people were in the field, so I figured if there was a tornado- they would atleast get their people to safety- After waiting it out for 45 minutes - we decide to just go when there is a little break in the rain- well the "break" was over by the time we reached the front gate and we all got soaked going to the car!! Luckily- I had clothes for the boys and me and seth were just wet- but it was so fun!!!

Saturday.....the boys went to waffle house with their daddy for breakfast and let me sleep and then he took them to see Monsters vs. Aliens yesterday afternoon and then of course we dyed eggs and we did our Easter prizes last night because Seth went to the Masters today so he would not be here today.....

As if that was not enough- Seth's brother- Shane came to spend the night with us so they got to wrestle and play with Uncle Shane!!

Today.....After many conversations about why we celebrate Easter- I hope that Blevin understands more and more why Christ came to die and why we need a Lord and Savior- He can answer all my questions about it-but I hope it is more than that to Him!! After church we went to eat with Terry and Mary Ann and then had an easter egg hunt! Each child had a certain number of eggs and they could only find the ones with their first initial so the big ones would not find them all!!

It doesn't take long for boys to wonder why their mom is trying to take pictures of them?!?!

I know I am bias- but these are two little studs!!!

Caleb is quite the independent one and this morning he decided to pour himself some milk which was actually coffee creamer and only spilled a little bit- so I was quite suprised but then later I came in the kitchen and he had some gross brown stuff on his chin and I said Caleb- "what are you eating?" and his reply was "Toffee!!" (or coffee) He does love to try and steal a few sips of my coffee but this morning he went for the grounds in the trash!!!!! Luckily they were on top- My life would be so boring without him!!!

Spring Break

One of the great things about being in college ministry is that we still get to take advantage of spring break (if seth does not go on a trip with students) So spring break was actually last week but I am always slow to post- anyway- we went for two nights away without kids to our friends the Ackers mountain cabin! It was amazing and much needed since Seth's schedule has been so crazy. We went hiking- Seth went fly fishing and did a whole lot of nothing- just enjoying the scenery and quiet!!!

This was Bald River Falls- it was beautiful and this is where we went for a hike!!

After two nights away we went back to Seth's parents for a golf tournament and Shane and Brittany came too- so we went from peace and quiet to 5 kids in one house! Luckily it was great weather and they played outside the whole time. We went to a little park that has a "mini" roller coaster and a train- so the kids loved that. The guy working the roller coaster let Caleb and Hadley ride even though they were not tall enough and Caleb loved it and Uncle Shane rode the train with them and then we had a little birthday party for Madison- who is turning 6- with cake and pinata!!! So..it was fun and crazy but we are always happy to be with our cousins!!

Last week there was a superhero spotting in Carrollton, GA. Batman and Bumblebee the Transformer were seen on a scooter and running through the yard. I felt safe knowing that there were some superheroes looking out for me!!!!!

Blevin kept this outfit on for a solid 36 hours only to pull it down to go to the bathroom!! Caleb did not sleep in his but took it off for bed - put on superman pjs- and the next morning his first question was asking where his batman outfit was. You get lots of smiles when you go out in public with batman and bumblebee!!! if you can tell- batman has on two different shoes too- he insisted on wearing them!!!

What an inclusive prayer! Nothing is left out. The word that speaks to me specially is "feed"

I do not think there is anything from the beginning of our Christian life to the end that is so keenly attacked as our quiet time with God, for it is in quietness that we are fed. Sometimes it is not possible to get long uninterrupted quiet, but even if it be only ten minutes, "hem it with quietness." Enclose it in quietness; do not spend the time in thinking how little time you have. Be quiet. If you are interrupted, as soon as the interruption ceases, sink back into quietness again without fuss or worry of spirit. Those who know this secret and practice it, are lifted up. They go out from that time with their Lord, be it long or short, so refreshed , so peaceful , that wherever they go they unconsciously say to others, who are perhaps cast down and weary, There is a lifting up.

I have been a little saddened lately when i watch the boys and think about how big they are- Blevin is a "boy" and although he still loves his mother so- he loves his transformers and using his imagination to tell me about his imaginary pet dinos that change into helicopters???? i just play along and hope that it means he will be smart!!!

Caleb is a "boy" too with a new big boy hair cut and big boy underwear and riding a big boy bike-I no longer have a baby at all! So as sad as it may be- it is soooo much fun!!!

We are loving this warm weather too- here are some of our fun sunny days playing and today mud snowmen turned into a mud bath!!!

I got another weekend away this past weekend and I know I am spoiled- but it was planned around christmas and I did not know about my birthday weekend!! I went to panama city with my friend Katy and three of her friends- it was a great time - we got to lay out for about 2 hours on saturday, most of the time with my jacket on, and then I ran the seaside 1/2 marathon on sunday morning in freezing cold weather and 25 mph wind- not exactly what I was expecting!!! but I beat my goal time by 10 minutes partly because the faster I ran the faster I got to get out of the cold!! And the funniest thing was driving home from the beach in the snow!!! good ol southern weather!! here are some pics of me-katy-cyndi- nanette and delaney- my camera died so the pics of me finishing are on someone else's camera

I left the city of jacksonville and a church that I ABSOLUTLEY loved and crossed from central to eastern time to the great state of Georgia! I can't believe that it has already been a year and although it was a hard move- I am amazed at the confirmations that the Lord has given us that we are supposed to be here!!
Here are just a few things I love about Carrollton and I am thankful for:

*The favor He has provided for me with Phi Mu
*the boys loving our new house-yard- and friends
*my sweet friend- mary ann- that has made the move so easy
*Target- one mile from my house (just a sweet bonus)
*a house I love with a great yard and great neighbors (my sweet neighbor Mrs. charlotte takes care of me!!! she brings us food and gets our mail and just comes to hang out in the afternoon when I am out with the boys)
*over 30 students coming to Christ- AMAZING!!!! (this is all i really need to say)
*a great church that loves us (actually my sweet friends threw me a suprise birthday party today- so i am so thankful for these ladies and their walks with the Lord)
* a great staff team
*the sun setting later here (well i know the time is diferent, either way- the sun is up til past dinner!!!)
*awesome parks we can walk to and the memories that go with them!
*sidewalks everywhere to run on with my jog stroller

so...these are just a few things- but I am thankful for this change and although there are soooooo many memories I have from good ol j'ville- i have made so many more her in good ol carrollton and can't wait to see what else the Lord is going to do and where he will take us!!!!

30 is the new 20!!!

So...I am officially 30!!!!! It is so crazy- I don't feel any different, but it is weird that I am no longer in my twenties!!! And my sweet Seth did such a sweet-fun suprise for me!!! Yesterday after lunch he came in and told me I had ten minutes to pack for one night!! he did not tell me where i was going or with who- but I picked up my friend mary ann and we went to my parents lake house and when I got there several of my really good friends were there to suprise me. Not only had he gotten my friends there- but he had thought for EVERYTHING -our dinner- mexican and my favorite chips and salsa from our favorite mexican place-margaritas!!- snacks- had traci bring me my favorite panera bagels- had a cake for me- had all of them think through our favorite memories and one thing to encourage me with and then we just talked and talked and talked and then watched a movie and then this morning we sat at the breakfast table for three hours and talked more!! This morning I got my gift from seth and the best was he wrote a list of 30 things he loved about me and it made me laugh and cry!! So- I feel so loved and am so thankful for all the blessings the Lord has given me!!

so .....caleb has a new hatred for pants!! Yesterday morning by lunch I had changed/redressed him three times. He is somewhat ready to potty train and so he will take his diaper off after he has peed in it and then when I dress him- he will be undressed in a few moments- luckily it has not happened in public yet!!! here is some naked vacumning!!!! anyone need their house cleaned?

so.....a little late!! but we had a fun family day- heart pancakes to start with and then heart pb&j's and then opened our valentines from grandparents and then to wal mart to pick out a prize with valentines money from tachi and then to our favorite restaurant- ci-ci's and then the boys opened their valentines day prizes and lots of candy!!! seth and I dont do anything cause we both think it is kind of a silly holiday so we just had fun being with our kiddos!!!

we took a weekend ski trip several weekends ago to north carolina. There were about thirty students from west georgia and we had so much fun skiing on ice!!! we had a few little meetings so it was exhausting but so fun and no one got too hurt!!!

Christmas Crazies!!!

I feel like I have a blog trend- just update once a month and put tons of info in!!! (this is not my goal- blogging is the one thing I tend to procrastinate over) So...Christmas and Happy New Year

After Seth being gone from Dec. 14-18th on a ski trip- he came home and then on the 19th we did the Terrell family Christmas- Our tradition is going to Waffle or Huddle house and having breakfast (boys in pjs) and talk more about why we celebrate Christmas and talk about who Saint Nicholas was and then we come home and did our advent calendar (the one I have is from desiringgod.org and I love it) and then we open presents for our family (which is not much because they get WAAAAY too much while we are on the road

Caleb's favorite toy was the dollar tree ball and Blevin got a Transformers tent

So...then we hit the road for our 13 day excursion that afternoon(19th) We stayed at Seth's parents til the 24th and as always they did way too much for us for christmas and it was fun and crazy- 5 kids + 8 adults+ freezing weather= a little cabin fever or chaos!!! Seth and Shane did not get to play much golf because it was too cold- so they were a little on edge because they are not used to being around the kids the whole time- but we did lots of fun things including taking all 5 (1 five year old, 2 four year olds, and 2 two year olds) There is no way to get a good picture of all five but we made several attemps!!

Then we went to Seth's grandmothers on the 24th and had another Christmas with his grandmother and then went to my parents!! Christmas day we had a huge breakfast and then waited on Elliott-Sarah and Collier and then ate a huge lunch and then opened presents again!! So...by Christmas day- the boys are completely overwhelmed by all their toys and things they have gotten. We got to hang out with Elliott and Sarah and then the day after Christmas my mom's whole family came over and we hung out and shot skeet!!

The boys are not allowed to have a kitchen- so they got a grill and here they are chillin with Daddy T

So then on the 27th we loaded up and dropped the boys off with Seth's parents and headed to Nashville for my 12th Christmas Conference!! We had an awesome group from West Georgia and it is always great for me personally too in my walk with the Lord. We had around 50 go and I had prayed for one room of Phi Mu's to go and 5 went!!! I was so excited. The speakers were great- many late nights- one night of dancing and lots of talking and after we got home I realized that I am not 18 any more and it took several days to recover. So...after a great holiday- we are happy to be home and school started last week, so things are off to an exciting and busy start- will try to update more frequently! A little late- Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Three or four in One!

Three posts in one or four! I have not updated in a while- life has been so crazy that I haven't taken the time to update all of you on our life!!!!!(or update my virtual scrapbook!) So the first post- THANKSGIVING!! We went to Kentucky this year and it was just us and shane and brit and all 5 kiddos! We went up on Tuesday and then came home on Sunday! Needless to say it was fun, but not exactly restful! We went to the campus and played on this rope swing one afternoon- then enjoyed Thanksgiving lunch that Brittany did most of the cooking for and then Brit and I went shopping and then we cheered for Alabama during the Iron Bowl. The pictures describe a lot of our craziness!!!

Decorating the tree- We had fun decorating and you can't decorate without cookies and hot chocolate! All the ornaments were on the bottom, so I had to go back in and fix them and suprisingly there were not many broken!!

Making cookies with me!! Seth took this picture and you can obviously tell that I had not showered!! But it was fun and I love my helpers in the kitchen!

So...really four posts in one- we went to the Atlanta children's museum on Tuesday (cause it is free on the 2nd Tuesday of every month) We went with our friend Carter and the boys had a blast- they loved fishing in the water thing- even though they got wet - and they had these really cool motor/tractor thing that the boys loved and they especially loved it when their daddies encouraged them to dump the balls on top of other mom's heads!!! Oh and we lost caleb a few times or misplaced is a better word- he would just wander off and I would think I was watching him but thankfully they had lots of great workers that found him twice and i saw them walking with him with him looking for me!!!!! Ha! Great parenting- but he was only gone for like 20 seconds so I really am not that bad of a mom- just a mom of Caleb the great hudini!!!!this is blevin and carter dumping the balls on the other moms!!! I don't know who had more fun- the little boys or the big boys!

A greased pig???

The goal is to recruit people to Christmas conference-Right? (now called new years conference!) So- the single staff guys- Ben and Matt decide that it would be good to have a big BBQ and have a greased pig chase! Where you get a pig- grease it up and chase it!! So- Ben finds a pig at a pig farm for $30 and brings it home today! During story time this morning Ben calls my phone (which he never does), so I answered and he asks very quickly for seth- and I tell him where Seth is and he informs me that the pig has escaped and is running through a nearby really nice neighborhood and on the golf course!! So- there are six guys (four of the five staff guys) chasing a pig in this neighborhood for over an hour!! They finally find and catch him!! Blevin is so excited and told atleast 3 people in the grocery store that his daddy was going to catch a pig and I just smiled! When we get to the BBQ tonight- I have great compassion for the little guy and feel sorry for it - and DID NOT eat any bbq (it kind of freaked me out) So- all that work and planning and about 60 people came to the cookout- but the little guy got complete stage freight and wouldn't run when people chased it!! The kids loved chasing it- so it was fun for them- but other than a funny day- the greased pig did not perform- But gave numerous laughs!! It is funnier to me cause I lived it- but hopefully you can appreciate the great lengths these guys will go to to try to get someone to go to conference!!!!!

My Sweet Blevin is 4!!!!

I can't believe I have a four year old!! My sweet- compassionate- loving first born is now four!! He was somewhat confused since we had his party a little over a week ago- and since his idea of time is a little off- and he was disappointed when he realized he was not going to get more toys!! In order to make his day special- I let him pick what he wanted to do- we had his favorite breakfast- Eggo waffles and eggs with candles of course and then he watched lots of TV this morning- played transformers with mommy- got to rent a movie at the store and watch it this afternoon- got to play on the computer and then go ride bikes and then pick where we went to eat dinner- Ci Ci's (his favorite) and then we came home and had a cupcake and me and Seth told him the things that we had been encouraged by in his life in the last year (this is something we just started tonight, but want to do every year)!!! So- I think his day was special!! At dinner- I asked him several questions- so this will give you some insight into Blevin- "What are you most excited about now that you are four?" Blevin-"I can play games( on the laptop)" and then "What do you want to accomplish in your fourth year of life?" Blevin- Eat Pizza!!! - so games and pizza are important!! So- to my sweet first born- Happy 4th Birthday!!

So...we had a superhero celebration on Saturday celebrating Caleb turning 2 and Blevin turning 4!!! Although I was completely stressed all week- it was great and I am glad that the boys had it together!! My friend Allison took most of the pics with her camera, but this will give you an idea of what happened!! All guests arrived- greeted by Blevin- a.k.a. Bumblebee the transformer and Caleb-a.k.a Batman and went to make a superhero mask and get a cape (that I made from plastic tablecloths) then we played two games - one of which was going to find two villans and "tie" them up in a chair with toilet paper. Then we had cake and ice cream. I also followed my sweet husbands leadership and did not make the cake- but bought it- and then opened way too many presents- our friends and family were so gracious to us!! It was a BLAST!!! Blevin got like 6 transformers and I have thoroughly enjoyed using my brain and putting them back together over and over!!!

Trick or treat! These three words have such power on a night like tonight because it means that Blevin and Caleb come home with a pumpkin full of candy!! We started our festivities on Wednesday when we made cookies, decorated them and delivered them to our neighbors. It was fun and they were all very appreciative!!

This afternoon we started by carving our pumpkin (the first time we have had a chance as a fam this week) and we have a little way to share the gospel while you carve that we got from our church last year - so we did that and then off to get the candy or booty!! We went with our friends Terry and Mary Ann and their kids- suprisingly- there was no one out (Friday night football) so we got lots of candy! Caleb's bag was so heavy that he could barely carry it by the end- but he would not let go of it! Caleb actually got the most- I guess 'cause he was so cute when he said trick or treat and thank you!! It was fun and now I can enjoy all their efforts- kit kats and snickers!!

so- seth has an office "nook" in our house and the other day it was confirmed by caleb why he does not work at home but goes to chick-fil-a and drinks gallons of diet coke and tries all the free samples!!! he was just trying to help his dad out!!

My sweet, rough and tough little man is now 2!! It is so weird that I don't have a baby anymore because he is a big boy! We are having a joint party for him and Blevin in November- but we tried to make his day special. It started off with candles in blueberry muffins and he got several phone calls and every time someone started singing to him- he sang along!! Then he got to pick where he wanted to eat dinner and it was CiCi's (the boys favorite) and then we finished with cupcakes (in the shape of a "2") and more candles to blow out!! It was fun and I can't believe he is already two and talking to me in complete sentences- but thankfully he still needs me sometimes to cuddle!! so- happy birthday caleb and thanks for all the smiles and laughs you give me!

mmmm- he ate the icing off of one and asked for another and of course I gave it to him- cause it is only your birthday once a year!!

This past weekend I got to go spend the weekend with a great friend, Catherine, and go to another friend's (Ginny) wedding and see so many old friends from college! It was so refreshing and refueling to see so many faces I have not seen in so long and think about the good 'ol college days!! Seth and the boys had "man-time" here at home- and it is always good for me to get a little break from being a full-time mommy- so I am thankful for my husband letting me go and thankful for great friends- old memories and new memories in the making!!!

a new addition to our family

My little brother Elliott and his wife Sarah had their baby on Sunday at 5:52 pm. Collier Martin was 6 lbs 6oz and 19 inches long. Sarah was not due til the 24th, but he decided to come a little early and it worked out great for us because we were already in Birmingham and got to see him 2 hours after he was born!! Caleb was so sweet- he kind of had a terrified look on his face initially when my mom had Collier and then he started singing Jesus loves me in his sweet, innocent voice- I almost cried!! Here are some pictures of this little bundle of joy!!

Things here at west georiga are continuing to go great and very busy!! We have not had the phi mu bible study in the last few weeks because of fall break and homecoming but I had a group of 5 girls over for dinner tonight and have a dinner group coming over every wednesday night for the next few weeks! So- I am excited about this and getting to know the girls better! Thanks for you prayers! Please keep praying for God to save these women and men!!

The Zoo

We took a family trip to Zoo Atlanta on Friday to check out all the fun animals and just doing something different with the boys! The boys favorite part was the gorillas getting in a fight. Blevin saw the last of the fight, but the rest of us were too late- even though we ran to the exhibit when we heard the monkey screams- a momma was protecting her baby's food! We played on the playground, and of course- rode the "choo choo" Here are some pictures from our fun day:

this morning made me really grateful to be a stay at home mom and have a flexible schedule and feel the chill in the air. thanks to eastern time- when the boys get up at 7 it is still dark outside. so this morning caleb woke up and like usual just screamed my name and waited for me to come get him. it woke blevin up (because if you have ever been around caleb you know how loud the scream is!) and we all got in caleb's twin bed and cuddled and then caleb started kissing blevin with his "papi" (paci) in his mouth and blevin did the cackle laught that you can only laugh with! so... i just laughed too and thanked the Lord for his goodness and joy in life!

Some of the Phi Mu ladies - the ones that came tonight!

Thanks for all who have been so faithfully praying! There were 24 or 25 girls at the Bible Study!!!!!! I am so excited!! We talked about one of the misconceptions of Christianity and there was some good conversation!! There were several there that were not Christians and we talked a lot about a relationship with Christ and one girl asked me about helping her with a Bible study! So...thanks for praying and being part of this with me!

and..who doesn't like breakfast in bed? The boys got in my bed this morning and were watching a cartoon and I decided it would be fun for them to eat it in my bed. They got really excited and I was glad I had already decided I needed to change the sheets before Caleb spit out a whole mouthful of food, so then I did not get mad- but laughed!! But..probably won't do it any time soon again- atleast til I need to watch the sheets again!!

I am so excited about what the Lord is doing here at West Georgia- but a little overwhelmed because I want to help so much with these women that want to grow and learn more about Christ! I am trying to follow up with several girls from the 1st big meeting of girls that said they were interested in spiritual things- so pray I can get time with them and I am helping a few of the girls start a Phi Mu bible study on Wednesday night at 9- we are doing it on the misconceptions of christianity. I feel like there is a lot of spiritual interest in this group of girls just from several conversations I have had and ones that people have told me about- So all that to say- please pray!!! I will let you know how it all goes! It really helps me knowing that all my sweet friends are praying with me!!

We had a fun weekend of different fun events! It all started Friday afternoon with a birthday party and then another party on Saturday morning of our friend Carter in Rome, Ga. Then, off to B'ham to hang out with my family for a little bit and celebrate "Big Daddy T"'s birthday and then a baby shower for Elliott's wife- Sarah- who is having a little boy- Collier Martin!- today!! It was a fun weekend of seeing all different friends and family - but even though we were only gone for 36 hours there is just something great about being home!! So now we are trying to get ready for another busy week!!

thanks to all of you who were praying yesterday- there were 375 people at the meeting!! It was amazing!! It was so cool to be walking into the building where the meeting was and people were just pouring in!! There were over 30 phi mu's there and 25 of their new girls- so I was so excited! They all filled out comment cards and said if they were interested in spiritual things or not and there was a great response- several even wrote on their cards that they think they might have given their lives to Christ!! So...the Lord was so faithful! The first "Outhouse" meeting is this upcoming Tuesday, so pray that the Lord will continue to work in their lives and bring them to the meeting!! Thanks to all of you!!

Here is what has been happening with us-

1. school starting at West Georgia- after we got home from SBP Seth hit the ground running and has not stopped- things are going well and the staff is really excited!

2. Recruitment (formerly known as rush) I am phi mu's chapter advisor and had to be at ALL of rush- but it was good- My main goal was to learn all of their names and between 27 parties in 5 days I had a lot of time to stare at the composite!! For all my sorority friends- some things never change- there is ALWAYS drama and I do have to confess that I shed a tear or two watching the "sisterhood" video and thinking about my good 'ol UM days!! Both of our parents came in at various times to help with the kiddos and after a 1 o'clock, 2 o'clock and 3 o'clock night it was confirmed that I am old and cannot stay up that late and bounce back!! But I do think it was time well spent and I have a good relationship now to talk to them about Jesus- Please pray for them and wisdom in helping them!!

3. Refereeing- this is done on a consistent basis with two boys- there is a lot of pinching, hitting that goes on and several bites here and there- it is never ending but when they do get along and play it is wonderful!!

that is about all we have been doing- besides the normal "mommy things." I am attempting to start preschool with Blevin but after feeling as though I have been hit by a truck this week we have decided to start next week- he has been watching movies during Caleb's nap instead, so that I can rest!!

I know I have not written in a while- I will fill you in on all of life later in the week but I am asking that you please pray for an event happening tonight! In an effort to get Campus Outreach's name out on campus we have our first big event tonight! There will be a raffle for $1000 given to one person and the fraternity/sorority that has the most members there will also get $500! (Olan -seth's boss- gave each campus 1000 dollars to have a big event and the West Georgia staff thought that adverstising to give the money away would be the best way to draw people in) So..... sorry this is so last minute (seth and I are sharing a computer right now, which means I don't ever get to use it) but the Gospel will be shared and pray that the Lord will use it to draw people to himself!! We are praying for 350 students to come! Which is very possible with 6 sororities and 6 fraternities on campus!! I will let you know how it goes!!

Seth, Blevin and Caleb were all in a wedding this past weekend. And yes....Blevin and Caleb were ringbearers. I did not get many good pictures- hoping the photographer did- cause I was having to try to keep Caleb out of the flowers, off the pews and just clean- This task alone can exhaust even the most physically fit person!! They did great though- only one small outburst and we left right after Allison's father gave her away. Amado Ortiz (who Blevin calls Papi) and Allison Land were the ones that got married- both went to JSU and Seth discipled Amado for several years- so the weekend was a fun and joyful one and I know I am biased but I think they were the cutest ringbearers ever!!

*this was the boys favorite spot on beach project- our window overlooked the stairs where everyone came and went ( i picked the room so i could see everyone and they could "pop" in if they wanted to) so the boys loved to watch people and the funniest thing was to see grown people make the craziest faces at the boys, cause they couldn't see me and did not think about me seeing them!

*Who needs the beach or the pool? Why not the nasty rain water in the parking lot!! We got ready to go to the beach and it started raining, so we made lemonade out of lemons!!!

Tour of the Terrells.......

Well...to say the least we have had a crazy two weeks- here is a run down for all of you who want to see how crazy I am and try to do too much (you know some things never change!) Not last sunday,but the sunday before (13th) Seth came down to SBP with some dear friends for his work/"man-cation" and was here til that thursday so me and the boys did VBS at church and the pool or park or some activity every afternoon to pass the time, then last Thursday we went and picked Seth up and then went to his basketball game (he was playing in a league in Anniston in July) and then to Russesllville arriving around midnight. Shane, Brittany and the girls were there so we hung out with them Friday and 1/2 the day Saturday (well..seth and shane hung out on the golf course) and then we left after golf and headed to Jacksonville for a party for some sweet friends that are getting married and then headed home- again arriving really late. Then we were home for three days but one of those days we went to see my mom at a summer camp that she is working (Camp Winnataska) and spent the day there (pics to follow at a later date) and then packed up when we got home and headed for SBP wednesday morning and then hung out with our dear friends Carlton and Aimee here on Thursday then me and the boys went to see my Me-maw yesterday morning( about 2.5 hours away- minus tee-tee breaks) and came back this morning!!! so...to say the least we are happy to be in one place for a few days- 11 to be exact! It makes me tired just thinking about it again!! I am so thankful that movies and food keep the boys occupied while driving- 'cause they have been troopers!!

Well...my sweet friend Angie posted a picture on her blog (angiehdavis.blogspot.com) of her little man with these pretty curls and asked whether or not she should cut them and it made me wander what all of you thought about Caleb's new hairstyle (mullet)?!?! Seth's mom trimmed Caleb's bangs the other day (like I asked her too!) because they were all in his face and if you look right at him he looks like the guy from Dumb and Dumber and from the side it is definitely "business in the front and party in the back"

4th of July

We had a great 4th- the staff came over and the kiddos played on the slip n slide and our 10.88 "walmart special" pool, we cooked out, made crafts,ate homemade ice cream, did sparklers (even Caleb) and had a great view of the city's fireworks from our front yard and all the while the men got in several games of "Halo" (the XBox game-it is true that they never really grow up) I really did try to think about this holiday and how grateful I am that I live in this country and rather convicted about my ungrateful, deserving mentality that I do have so often- I am so thankful for the men that serve and fight to protect our country - So.....Better late than never- "HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!!!!

Been a while...

So..its been a while since I have posted- sorry all my blogger buds- SBP was and is going great-when we left there were 7 people on project that had become Christians and everyone was having fun and learning a lot.

We are home from the beach and it is nice- you don't realize how great your house is until you leave it for five weeks and have to go to a laundromat to do laundry and wash all dishes by hand. The day we got home the boys where in "toy" heaven because all their old toys where now new again!! Seth has been around a little more than normal, so that has been fun! the other day the boys were playing with seth's shoes on and when I saw them playing, it just made me think about how much they love their daddy and long to be like him- which always makes me smile, because although he is their daddy- he was my husband first- for which I am so grateful! I am so blessed to have him as my husband and my boys daddy!

So...I recaptured the moment and took the picture and made Seth's card with this picture and loved it!! Blevin is not constipated either, he is showing his muscles!!

SO....Seth is 30!!!! I think he had a good birthday! For those of you who know and love him he has turned over a new leaf in his older age and is exercising and eating right! He has even started running- no- i am not lying!!! I would have loved to take him on a fun golf get away, but the funds and schedule did not allow- Since 30 is the new 20 we have a lot of fun ahead of us!!

So...in Fort Walton there is a big pirate festival called Billy Bowlegs Pirate Festival! So last Saturday Mary Ann and I dressed the kids up and went to see Billy Bowlegs come in on his boat- we thought it would be great fun, little did we know that it was a drunk fest- so they looked cute and we got a sno cone (so they thought that was great) then we had a pirate social with all of SBP so we all got to dress up!!

SUMMER BEACH PROJECT 2008

(I started this post right after we got here, but then my computer crashed, so I will be better- promise)

Well...some of you ask- how do you pack for a month- and my response is usually- we pack everything but the kitchen sink and this is just about true and I thought I would let you see what it looks like!! Luckily last year we bought a trailer that we now take with us and we also took several of the other staff's things as well! And we are here and settled in!! We have been to the beach a few times and to the pool ALOT!! Blevin has picked right back up on swimming and Caleb is well...fearless and has already jumped in several times without me looking and of course will not wear a float at all!! The students arrive tomorrow and we are ready to settle into somewhat of a schedule so we get to see Seth a little more consistently! This is going to be a super fun summer but an exhausting one as well- making sure no one gets run over or tries to swim on their own is enough to wear anyone out!! So....I will keep you posted!!

So... I was trying to get a few things done yesterday and I was writing a few things and Caleb wanted my pen, so I just gave him a piece of paper and a red marker and he was quiet for around 4 minutes (which most of you know that you can get a lot done in that amount of time with peace) Luckily he was in his highchair because I turned around and he had definitley had more fun writing on himself and his hair than on the paper!! You shoulf have seen the looks and laughs we got when we went to the post office. After a bath they are still there, just a little faded!! You might be thinking, well I guess she learned her lesson, but no I will do it again in order to get one or two things done in peace!!

Being a mom

Although mother's day was three days ago, I am just now getting around to writing about it- We had a great day- we actually got to see both of our mom's, which has never happened and got to see their faces when they opened their cards! We are so thankful for them and the example and help they have been for us as we are parenting our own children. On our way home from B'ham, Seth had me list out my top 10 reasons I love being a mom and then he told me the top 10-15 reasons I was a great mom- so I thought I would fill you in on my favorite things...

Top 10 reasons I love being a mom

(these are in no particular order)

1. Being a mom with Seth- he is a great daddy and I am so thankful we get to tackle this adventure together

2. Blevin- my sweet first born who i like to refer to as my angel

3. Caleb- my determined second child who is full of life and ready to tackle life- literally

4. Laughter- hearing them laugh always makes me smile

5. Listening to Blevin talk and get a taste of a 3 year old's imagination

6. Hearing Blevin say I love you and Caleb's open mouth kisses

7. No matter how long I have been gone- even just a few minutes- I can walk in- hear little feet- hear "Mommy" and get hugs

8. Having Caleb stop playing and just need to come sit in my lap for a few moments of peace and comfort

9. Having constant entertainment, even if I do need a referee shirt most of the day

10. It is so fun!!!

so....there is a little insight on how much I love being a mommy and am trying to treasure every moment!

......When you have a mesh bag that you can pull fish (or Caleb) in- a belt to tie to each other and run around (they did this for around 30 minutes) and mom to push you in the jog stroller while you eat a popsicle!!!! Things are going great here! It has been a crazy week, but fun- we got to see a few of our old Jacksonville friends on Monday and Blevin had a blast playing with them, we had lunch with three phi mu's on Tuesday, went to a Corn hole tournament onTuesday night, and then just did normal things the rest of the week. Caleb started throwing up AGAIN last night, which is around the 4th time we have had the stomach funk since we got here- georgia must make them sick- but we got some phenegrin (sp?) and hopefully he will be off to dreamland soon!! We are supposed to go and see the family in B'ham today, we will see if it happens or not.....

On Thursday I was able to just listen to Blevin and observe all his little thoughts that were going on in his brain. (probably because I went to bible study and spent personal time in the word) I love to hear what he is imagining and try not to crush it with reality. So....during his "rest time" he came out and invited me to come play with his new friends. I went in there and met "turtle" (a watering can with a turtle face on it), "key" (the lock box for the car that he found and brought in), and "baby" (his blanket that he wads up and puts to sleep in his bed or in a basket). He had the game Chutes and Ladders set up for them and they were playing! Then we went for a run later that afternoon and when we were running he said "Mommy, we are going as fast as a race car!" and then saw the neighborhood dog running beside us and said "We are going as fast as a dog!" I don't know why I thought that was so cute - I guess just because it is so cute to think about how much he still has to learn and I love that he still is so innocent (in some ways)! I am so thankful for those little moments as a mom when I can laugh out loud at things that are not really funny at all to any one else, but that bring me pure joy!!!

We went to Seth's parents for several days last weekend and got to hang out with Shane, Brittany, Madison, Macey and Hadley. It was fun, but controlled CHAOS are the only words to describe what it is like being in a house with five children 5 and under and having them all mobile!!! Then, we had a suprise birthday for Maw Maw on Wednesday night for her 80th birthday and we also got to celebrate Madison's 5th birthday on Monday! We played outside a lot- dug for worms, went on many golf cart rides and just monkeyed around! It was such a blessing to think about Maw Maw's 80 years and how thankful we are for her and it was so great for the boys to get to hang out with their cousins, since we don't get to see them much! Although....it was exhausting as well! Here are some pictures of all the fun and festivities!

Just thought I would give you a quick run-down on new things happening here at West Georgia:

*Seth and Ben (staff guy) have started a Bible study in one of the guy's dorms and we are having all those guys over to cook out tomorrow night

*Kim (one of the staff wives) is starting an evangelistic Bible study with KD (sorority) tonight for 4 weeks

*One of the Kappa Sigma guys had lots of questions last night after the meeting and might have become a Christian

*Two guys committed to SBP last night and there are many more still thinking about it

The Lord has been so faithful and there are many relationships being made right now and we are praying the Lord will continue to draw men to himself- Please pray that with us!!!

Seth's dream coming true

Well...for all of you that know anything about Seth- you know he LOVES basketball! As a matter of fact, we are in his favorite month of the year- not because it is getting warmer, but because of March Madness- so the other night he brought our basketball goal in and the boys played for almost an hour and have been playing non-stop then! So....to say the least- he is a little proud!

Easter Activities

Here is a summary of the fun Easter things we did- we dyed eggs- Caleb dyed a plastic egg in a bowl of water (he thought he was working hard)! We also made "bunny racers" I gave the boys swiss cake roll and lots of candy and icing and we decorated them together- Seth even joined in the fun- It was fun and the boys were on definitie sugar highs!! They got "suprise baskets" Easter morning- which was more fun for me shopping at the Dollar Tree than anything!! We read the resurrection story that morning at breakfast and after Blevin appearing to listen- he asked something about what Jesus liked to eat? Well..maybe he heard some of the truth! And then pictures of them in their outfits- none really turned out- Caleb was screaming in most of them because he was mad, not to metion that it was freezing outside! So- hope everyone had a Happy Easter and was able to really think about the Amazing gift we have in Christ and to think about the price that He paid for us on the cross!

Well..the Lord is so faithful! Once again I have met and gotten involved with the Phi Mu's here at West Georgia. I met a girl, Rebecca, that has come to several Campus Outreach meetings and had lunch with her last week (with the boys- at a bakery where all the desserts were out to see- and she did not run away!) and then four of the girls came over last Wednesday for dinner and were so sweet and seemed really comfortable and I talked to them about helping out with the chapter. I told them I wanted to come to the meeting this past Sunday night and I did and got voted in as the Chapter Adviser!!! So...they needed help and I was available and excited about getting to know these women! So- pray for my time with them that it would be good and I would be very intentional and bold with them. We are having a Campus Outreach cook-out at our house tomorrow night, so hopefully we will have a good turn-out and I will get to meet some other students. I am so thankful that the Lord is SOOOOO faithful and has allowed me to find favor here already!

Here are a few pics of the boys playing in the dirt- all they need is dirt and a shovel- life is so simple! Caleb kept trying to eat the mud- guess he thought it was chocolate!! They played for an hour just putting dirt in the bucket and dumping it and then a few days later they played in the puddle on our back porch and both were covered from head to toe (literally) in mud! I will try to take some pics of our new house for everyone to see!

Caleb has a wall of built-ins in his room- so of course it did not take them long to climb on in!

Well.....the move is over and we are official Georgians! After moving and getting settled for a week, Blevin got the flu and then this past weekend I got to go to St. Louis with a friend to see another friend! So- it has been a whirlwind too! I have adjusted pretty well to Carrollton! It is a really neat town. The first few days it was an adjustment to Eastern time, we had been outside and Caleb started getting fussy and I just thought he was fussy and then I would look at the clock and it was dinner time and I had no idea because it was so pretty outside! The boys have adjusted just fine- EVERYTIME we leave and come back Blevin says we are at our new house! I love the house, so that is good- it has kept me distracted from being sad about leaving Jacksonville! The one real reality was going to church here the first Sunday- it was good, but not Grace Fellowship- who by the way gave us a brunch the Sunday before we left that was so encouraging and sad at the same time- I am fighting tears right now thinking about how the people of that church have affected us and I am so thankful for the lifelong friends we have made. So, Georgia has been good and I confident this is where we are supposed to be!

For those friends that are checking everyday, sorry it has been a week since I have updated- my computer quit working, we have been trying to say all our good-byes and packing up! For our faithful supporters that are reading this- this is an update on the ministry at JSU! Although we are leaving, there are still things happening! There are about 12 students that are really wanting to Lord to work. As of this week, 4 evangelistic Bible studies have started in ZTA sorority, Independent women, Kappa Sigma fraternity, and the Baseball team. At the baseball Bible study, they discussed whether Christianity is a religion or relationship and there were about 10 guys there! So, although we are SOOOO sad to leave, we are excited about the faithfulness of the Lord. I have been trying to pack- we are set to move February 11th!

I have had so many funny pictures of Caleb lately- so here a few of my little Blevin angel who said this week-"Mommy you are my bestest mommy ever!" Talk about melting my heart! In light of the new movie that just came out- 27 dresses a group of us girls went to see it and yes the brave ones did wear old bridesmaid dresses! Just thought we could get one more use out of them! We did get a few looks- but it was fun and if you are in the mood for a true chick flick- check out the movie- it is really cute!!

Sweet Sophie

Thank you so much for your prayers and concerns- Carlton and Aimee are doing okay- by God's grace! Sophie was born last night and lived 9 peaceful, beautiful minutes before going to be with the Lord. Seth went to see them last night and said it was so encouraging to be with Carlton and see how the Lord's strength has been so good and they talked about Sophie being in heaven with Christ. It is such a sweet and glorious thought. Our sweet pastor and his wife, Aimee are about to deliver a sweet angel (Sophie Ann) today that will not make it. They have known from the first sonar that she would not make it- she does not have a brain. So.... please pray for them- Carlton and Aimee Weathers and they have a 5 year old little girl, Hannah Grace and 3 year old, Noah and little Sophie Ann will come to be with them for a short, but sweet time.
Today is also the 35th anniversary of Roe v. Wade and Aimee said she knew that Sophie just wanted to show them that every life matters and counts. It has been so neat to see the Lord work in the lives of this family and as a result in our church. As I have been thinking about this and any hardship in life I have been thinking of a song based on Psalm 62 by Aaron Keyes-

" My soul finds rest in God alone, my rock and my salvation..... find rest, my soul, in God alone amid the world's temptations; When evil seeks to take a hold, I'll cling to my salvation. ........I'll set my gaze on God alone, and trust in Him completely; with every day pour out my soul, and He will prove His mercy. Well...it wasn't much- but it counts!! It snowed here yesterday even though it was really slushy it was fun and we made a few snowballs! Caleb kept trying to eat it and ate some pine straw and dirt too! It was really pretty to watch out the window too! Just wanted to share our snow experience with you!!

Today was a typical Tuesday- bible study this morning, PB & J for lunch, refereeing a few fights, then nap time! So...nap time is usually the time when I reward myself for surviving the day so far and enjoy a little peace and quiet. Today, like many, did not go as planned. Caleb was really tired and only slept a little while and then woke up- obviously still exhausted. So... I laid on the couch with him snuggled on my chest and as I thought of my "To- Do" list that I was not getting done- I also thought about how thankful I am that I get to lay on the couch and let my sweet angel take a nap on my chest while I catch up on Martha Stewart. Just thought we could all take a moment and pause and thank God for how thankful we should be....even when things don't go just as we planned!!

Our Two Boys...

Happy New Year!!!!

Well.... I am going to attempt to keep everyone up to date with things on campus and our two boys! There is lots of change in the works for our family- besides chasing two boys we will be packing up our house and heading to Carrollton, GA. So...new town, new campus, new church, new friends and a new time zone!! It has been so neat to think back over our six years here at Jacksonville and how sweet and faithful the Lord has been to us. I would of never thought that when I moved here six years ago I would be so sad to leave Jacksonville, AL!! It is going to be a hard transition, but trust that this next step is what the Lord has for us.
